Production Support Engineer : 2+ years experience in production support in Unix environment

It is a new institutional platform that allows clients to analyze and trade on FX Option instruments and strategies in a fair and transparent manner. Synoption is recognized as a Recognized / Licensed Market Operator by Monetary Authority of Singapore

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Application deployment and release management in UAT and Production
Provide technical support for Linux jobs, web services, databases etc.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical and operational issues.
To write bash scripts and database queries
Coordinate escalation and resolution of major service issues.
Report promptly to management and business partners regarding critical outages until resolution.
Working in a busy environment under pressure dealing with colleagues or customers that require help, advice and IT technical support.

Required Skills and Experience:
Bachelor degree in Engineering stream
1+ years experience providing Application Production Support on a Unix platform.
Experience in Incident, Problem and Change Management
Must have problem solving skills for diagnosing root causes for technical issues and process issues.
Good communication skills both verbal and writing with the ability to discuss issues with users.
Understanding of database concepts.
Knowledge of UNIX Shell scripting

Good to have
Highly motivated, results-driven, and able to multi-task.
Python scripting in plus
Jenkins knowledge is plus
